Promoting Stewardship of Inland Waters in Bayfield County, WisconsinThe Bayfield County Citizens for the Protection of Inland Waters (CPIW) is a volunteer committee that works to encourage all citizens to actively engage in the care and stewardship, as well as enjoyment, of our county's water resources.
The CPIW seeks to further the protection of our water resources by encouraging meaningful public discussion of shoreland issues and regulations, ensuring the fair and equitable enforcement of those regulations, and proactively educating shoreland owners. Our education effort focuses on protecting natural lakeshores and improving developed lake properties. The CPIW recognizes that lakeshore property owners are at the forefront of water resource stewardship. The choices made by property owners directly affect the water quality, health, and beauty of Wisconsin waters.
