Wisconsin Lakes Partnership
The Partnership is a statewide, multi-faceted effort with the core partners- Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources, University of Wisconsin Extension Lakes, and Wisconsin Lakes- and also includes regional, county, tribal, non-profit, and federal partners. Our goal is to continue to protect and preserve our state waters and support those meeting the challenges that come with the management and stewardship of Wisconsin lakes. BCLF is a Bayfield County citizens’ group that works to preserve and enhance the scenic, natural, recreational and economic values of Bayfield County lakes, streams and shorelands. This site lists local lake groups.

Planning and Zoning Department. Bayfield County has adopted a Zoning Code that is implemented by the Planning and Zoning Department for the
purpose of promoting and protecting the public health, safety, convenience, and welfare, to further the maintenance of safe and healthful conditions,
to prevent and control water pollution, to protect spawning grounds, fish, and aquatic life to control building sites, placement of structures and land
uses, to prevent overcrowding of any natural resource such as a lake, river or stream, to preserve shore cover and natural beauty, and to promote the
better uses of scenic resources.
Land and Water Conservation Department assists the public in protecting, enhancing and restoring the natural resources of Bayfield County.
